Video to MP3 (app.videotomp3.audioconverter) · Last updated 26 August 2026

This app is published by Zoopet. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information. It is written to match the app's real behaviour, and it is kept in step with the Data safety declaration on the app's store listing.

The short version

What the app does with your files

When you choose a video, Android grants the app access to that single file and nothing else. The app reads it, extracts the audio, and writes the result to your device's Music folder. The original file is never modified, and neither the source video nor the converted audio is uploaded anywhere, transmitted to us, or shared with any third party. We never see them.

What we collect ourselves

DataWhyProvider
Crash reports — stack trace, device model, OS version, and which ad network and ad format were active when the crash happened To find and fix crashes. Ad SDKs are the most crash-prone part of an app like this, so crashes are tagged with the network involved. Firebase Crashlytics (Google)
Anonymous usage events — for example that a conversion finished, and which output format was chosen To understand which features are actually used. Firebase Analytics (Google)
Remote configuration values fetched by the app Lets us switch ads off remotely if an ad SDK misbehaves, without shipping an update. Firebase Remote Config (Google)
Purchase status (whether Pro is owned) To remove ads and unlock Pro features, and to restore your purchase if you reinstall. Handled by the store; we never see your payment details. Google Play Billing / Samsung Galaxy Store IAP

None of the above contains the contents of your files, their names, or any personal identifier you have given us — because you never give us one.

Advertising

The app is supported by advertising through Google AdMob, which may in turn serve ads from the following mediation partners: Unity Ads, Meta Audience Network, Pangle, AppLovin, Mintegral, Liftoff Monetize (Vungle), and InMobi.

These partners may collect your device's advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and network information, and data about which ads you were shown and interacted with, in order to select and measure ads.

Each partner's own privacy policy governs what they do with that data:

Your choices about ads

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before any personalised advertising data is collected, using Google's User Messaging Platform. You can change or withdraw that consent at any time from Settings → Privacy options inside the app.

Wherever you are, you can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device's system settings (Settings → Google → Ads on most Android devices), which limits ad personalisation across all apps.

Buying Pro removes all advertising from the app, and with it the data collection described in the Advertising section.

Permissions and why each one exists

PermissionWhy
Internet, network stateRequired to load ads. The conversion itself works offline.
Advertising IDAd personalisation, subject to your consent choice above.
NotificationsTo show conversion progress so a long job can run while you use other apps. These are generated on your device — the app has no push notifications and no messaging service.
Modify system settingsRequested only at the moment you tap "Set as ringtone", "Set as alarm", or "Set as notification sound". Declining it leaves every other feature working.

The app deliberately does not request access to your photo library, to all files on your device, to your camera, microphone, location, or contacts.

Children

This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, write to the address below and we will delete it.

Data retention and deletion

Converted audio stays on your device until you delete it — from inside the app, or from any file manager or music app. Crash and analytics records held by Google are retained under Google's own schedules (generally up to 90 days for crash records and up to 14 months for analytics). To request deletion of any data associated with your device, write to the address below.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because the app holds no account and no identifier that we can link to you personally, most of these requests are satisfied by resetting your advertising identifier and uninstalling the app. For anything else, contact us and we will help.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top, and where the change requires it, you will be asked to review your consent choices again in the app.
